Christmas Cookies

We've been doing a lot of baking here in the Hunter house. I LOVE Christmas cookies, and unfortunately for my waistline, I have a really hard time keeping my hand out of the cookie jar these days. Here are the ones that have become our "must have" Christmas cookies:

Frosted Orange Drop Cookies, Sugar and Spice Cookies (a chewy gingersnap-type cookie), Peanut Butter Reindeers, Chocolate Crinkles, Butterballs, and Vanilla Cookie Cut-Outs.

What cookies do you make every year??

Time Flies!

Goodness, last week flew by...and the weekend is already over!! I'm not quite sure how some people manage to find time to blog everyday (like this lady - thanks, Susanna for the site, but seriously, blogging about the crockpot everyday!?!). I've been trying hard to gaurd my time...especially being careful about how much time I spend at the computer (ie. facebook and reading other people's blogs is sooo addictive!)

So, anyway we've spent the past several days baking, hosting meetings, making Valentines, listening to Karis read her first book on her own, going on field trips, getting to doctors appointments and just trying to contain the chaos that is our life! I think a good chunk of my time is spent keeping Levi out of trouble. It's crazy that even on my fourth kid that I would be surprised by the sheer amount of time I spend just saving the child's life!!!

Here are some pictures from the week:

Yum!

Cream cheese was on sale at Kroger this week...and what better thing to do with cream cheese, but make cheesecake. I sort of created my own recipe for this fabulous chocolate cheesecake:

I have plans for white chocolate raspberry one next week. Someday, I'd love to be making cheesecakes and cookies for money! (I'm totally serious, Julie!) Once some of the kids are in school all day, I'd like to get my name out there and do some showers or parties. If you're ever in need, give me a call...I'll hook ya up!
